The Friday 56: Nobody’s Prize

I know I haven’t posted much lately, but I saw this on my friend’s blog, Kelsey @ Kelsey’s Book Corner, and thought I give it a try. I’ll do my best to blog a little more over the Holiday break. Enjoy! 🙂

Freda over @ Freda’s Voice has taken over the hosting of this fun weekly meme. All you have to do is:

* Grab a book, closest.
* Turn to page 56, find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of the blog.

*Post a link along with your post back to Tonya’s blog
*Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest or most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST!

Nobody's Prize“By Zeus, Iolaus!” the monster bellowed. “You said you had two weapons bearers, but you never told me you’d robbed Aphrodite’s own hearth to find this one.”

  1. Can we just have an entire conversation like this?

    My response?

    Calling attention to crimes can hardly be considered an indication that someone is a left wing. (The Girl with the dragon tattoo)

  2. Great Friday 56!! This book looks interesting! So glad you joined this meme, I really like this one because you just never know what you will find on page 56…:D

  3. “Slow-moving and dignified, it defined the city, marking the boundary between worlds.” – Uglies, Scott Westerfeld

    This book was literally under my monitor – pretty close by!
