Halloween Favs – A time to share some of my favorite books, movies, and songs for the season. Today:
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow – another classic. It’s a frighting short story, a perfect read just before a stroll through the crisp October night air (just watch for the Headless Horseman).
Goodreads Summary: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a short story by Washington Irving contained in his collection The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent., written while he was living in Birmingham, England, and first published in 1820. With Irving’s companion piece “Rip Van Winkle”, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is among the earliest American fiction still read today.
And what is a party without a prefect ghost story?
